The obstacles we face are rarely made of stone.
They are made of story.

We tell ourselves what is possible and what is not.
We call these boundaries “reality,”
But often, they are only the shape of our belief.

Excuses feel solid at first, like walls we cannot climb.
They disguise themselves as reason,
As timing,
As circumstance.

But when something matters enough
When the heart aligns with the will
The wall begins to lose its edge.
We find ourselves searching for a way over, under, around.
Sometimes even through.

The path is not always straight.
It may twist, turn, backtrack, disappear.
We may abandon one route to follow another.
And yet, somehow, the movement continues.

Direction changes are not failure;
They are proof we are still in motion.
A river does not mourn when it meets a bend
It curves, and in doing so,
It learns new ways of being water.

To put your whole self into something
Is to step beyond the authority of excuses.
It is to remember that limitations can be invitations—
Markers pointing toward the skills we have yet to grow.

The path is always there.
Sometimes hidden.
Sometimes waiting for us to become the version of ourselves
Who can walk it.

And when we do,
We see the truth:
The greatest barrier was never the world outside,
But the small cage we carried within.

Thank you for turning,
For reading,
For listening,
For spiraling with me,
Eric.
